Section 5 — Long Term Care

As you know, we are all living longer. And as we live longer, we stand a greater chance of getting sick and needing care. This is a pretty new phenomenon, so long term care is a pretty new need. This section explains the types of care, the cost of care, government programs that may or may not pay for care, and estate recovery. It also covers Long Term Care insurance and how policies are constructed and how they work. The national phone numbers for Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran’s Affairs and the Area Agency on Aging are also provided in case you have specific questions that they will need to answer.
